Mr Desmond Soh is the co-founder and COO of Nutri-Buddy Pte Ltd, a Food-Tech start-up committed to bringing health and wellness at the local and regional fronts. Driven by his passion to create enduring structures that support society, he has been at the forefront of Nutri-Buddy’s effort to create baseline nutritional access for people from all walks of life.
Desmond is leading the nutrition mission in diverse effort, with his ability to foster a range of partnerships and bring together like-minded companies which was instrumental to his meticulous curation a selection of affordable ready-to-eat meal combos on board a network of smart vending machines and integrated supply chain. These meals comprise mains, sides and beverages that are curated to the Healthy Plate Framework and aligned to guidelines and accreditations by Singapore’s Health Promotion Board (HPB). His marketing and outreach competencies have enabled Nutri-Buddy to create awareness and engagement across partners and consumers alike.
With a thorough background in logistics, supply chain and operations acquired across nine years of experience in both military and private sector settings, Desmond exercised his competencies in setting up the network of vending machines, integrated by a JIT supply chain for the delivery of meal combos across Singapore. Desmond is steadfast in operationalising new concepts and systems as well as setting processes to ensure operational continuity.
Passionate about sustainability, Desmond has worked to integrate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into Nutri-Buddy’s core values. He actively seeks out sustainable and innovative solutions to address the interconnected issues of nutrition and wellness, driving positive change in the industry and beyond.
