Thu Nguyen studied Environmental Engineering at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and later she was trained as an expert on Sustainability/Green Building Services. Qualified through the LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP – verified by US. Green Building Council) and LOTUS AP (verified by Vietnam Green Building Council), Green Mark Manager (verified by Singapore BCA), together with 18 years of experience in Sustainability consultancy services, Thu is known as a pioneer Vietnamese expert in Sustainability field.
In 2012, roling as a new position, Thu is one of the Co-Founders of GreenViet Green Building Consultancy, contributing in a lot of successful green projects in Vietnam. Focusing on sustainability and increasing building performance, Thu leads the consultancy process on how to obtain the accredited certificate and how to projects designed and built to comply with the International and local Green Rating Systems (LEED, LOTUS, Green Mark, WELL, Earthcheck…).
The number of green projects successfully performed by GreenViet is around 300 projects. Continuing in upgrading herself in the Global Sustainability development – ESG, Thu recently applying Master degree in the programe Professional Master in Environment, Social and Governance at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in early 2024. Not only focus on working skills, Thu is also deep diving in education program in human resources, so that she have the comprehensive vision how significant of awareness from inside human’s mind affecting to the advanced cooperation under Governance pillar, and contributing in making decision for Environment pillar in ESG. From this background, Thu shall involve in establish the overall Sustainability strategies to bring higher benefits to Business, People and Environment.
