Dr. Sreepad Karanam is the Vice President of Sustainability and CSR Strategy at Bridgestone Asia Pacific.
As a Corporate Sustainability Strategy leader at Bridgestone Asia Pacific, he is skilled at integrating sustainability (Environmental, Social and Governance risks) into business strategy to create value, driving continuous improvements and top line growth.
Sreepad is adept at industry sustainability risks and opportunity analysis. He is able to transform risks into sustainability driven, new products, and process innovations to create a sustainable solutions portfolio at global level. He applies Life-cycle Assessment (LCA) methods to quantify environmental benefits for product marketing and communications.
Prior to this, he was Director, Corporate Sustainability and Circular Economy Strategy, in SABIC. He has 18 years of experience in the area of sustainability, innovation, product and platform technology development (from lab to manufacturing scale), market development, and technical support for a range of industries such as automotive and Electrical & Electronics.
Dr. Karanam, born in India, earned his Ph.D. degree in Polymer Science and Engineering in 2003 from Eindhoven University of Technology, Eindhoven, NL and joined SABIC/GE Plastics same year. Dr. Karanam holds a number of U.S. patents and publications. He currently lives in Singapore, together with his wife and son.
