The world’s leading thought Leadership event on CSR– THE GLOBAL CSR SUMMIT & AWARDS™ & THE GLOBAL GOOD GOVERNANCE AWARDS™ will host the 13th year event virtually. The 2020 event was delayed for a year due to the Covid 19 pandemic and we are committed to hosting the much anticipated event on 16 November 2021.
While 2019 has been a tumultuous year globally with many disruptions in the realm of politics, society, economics and the environment, 2020 came as a shock with the Covid 19 pandemic resulting in severe disruptions in global trade and travel.
The impact has caught many countries by surprise and governments have struggled to manage the health and economic fallout. Lockdowns and travel restrictions have brought many industries and companies to their knees, causing massive job losses and unemployment. The challenges in CSR that we have all sought to overcome such as economic inequalities, poverty, human trafficking and human exploitation are exacerbated while other pressing issues such as climate change and environmental pollution were given an extended timeline as a result of reduced human activity. As the world adapts to Covid 19 and prepares for a recovery, the pandemic has necessitated a rethinking of current business models and survival. economic resilience and self-sufficiency become the central focus in our thinking of CSR and Sustainability. For this reason, we have created the theme “Rebuilding Towards Resilience” as the focus of our 2021 event.
The 2021 Global CSR Summit & Awards™ together with The Global Good Governance Awards™ will invite some of the thought leaders of our time from various industries to share some of the most innovative ideas for environmental protection, community empowerment, gender equality and workplace diversity, supply chain transparency, corporate transparency, brand activism and technology for social good.
